Day 19 – In My Bags/Bank

I’m back to my 20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge!  I know, I know.. SLACKER.  Today I’m gonna show you my pathetic bags and bank inventories.

I am not a gold-maker.  I suck at simply buying stuff on the Auction House.  I typically vendor all the grey crap and keep some of the white or better quality items.  Until I realize they’re also crap and vendor them.  You’ll see I’m broke as well — Just spent a week buying/gathering mats to level my Engineering, make about 4 epics and gem/enchant all of that stuff.  The gemming and enchanting is really awful (except for Jewelcrafters/Enchanters ;D)

What’s in my bags?

My Backpack is my consumables, toys (like Jeeves and MOLL-E), fishing gear, and other stuff I need to keep on-hand 24/7.  I don’t know if anyone else is like this, but my hearthstone MUST stay in that upper left slot of the Backpack.  On all of my characters.

The next bag above my Backpack usually holds my Sexylayg outfit plus some additional “soon-to-be-needed” items like recipes, schematics/patterns, and profession things that don’t fit in my profession bag.

The third bag is my quest item/stuff to keep for a short amount of time bag.  Yeah, I manually sort things, but I actually know what I have better than if I were to use an inventory addon like ArkInventory. I keep miscellaneous stuff here.

The fourth bag is my profession bag.  On my shaman as seen above, it’s a giant Elementium Toolbox that I made while leveling and have YET to fill to the brim.  Which is both annoying and amusing at the same time.

My fifth and final bag usually holds crap to sell or auction.  Putting all of my sellables into one bag makes disposing of them really quick — I don’t use a grey item selling addon (See, I have this thing.  And apparently, it’s a thing.)

And that bank. Holy crap Liz.

Yeah, yeah.. I know what you’re saying.  “What the hell is all of that stuff?!”  Welp… It’s tabards, holiday clothes, my T10ish gear, some more holiday stuff, trinkets and other knick-knacks I can’t part with.

See, I don’t horde things in my bags/bank.  This is why I’m broke, too.  I dunno… I’ve never felt I needed to hold onto anything.  I wish I could, though, because I’d like to be able to afford nice things in-game.  I just have no economic discipline.

But I kept the Steamy Romance Novel my best friend gave me!

Thankfulness & Generosity

I’ve been in the guild Waypoint seriously since May (I rolled an alt in March while still messing around in Rift) when I transferred Lizzia to Medivh.  About a week (I think?) of having Lizzia in the guild, I was offered a spot to come along on a romp through Blackwing Descent.  And the rest is history.  ;D

I got my husband to roll a character on Medivh to join me in Waypoint, his rogue.  That rogue is now level 80! But I knew my husband really loved playing his Draenei paladin, Nightrode.  So I finally convinced him a couple weeks ago to transfer Nightrode to Medivh (and I transferred Reura — who had to become Marsaili due to the name being taken already ;~;).

I even convinced my husband that he would be a great holy paladin and you know what?  HE TOTALLY IS.  Since he’s a blacksmith, he was able to cobble together a holy set of gear and we stepped into a heroic.  Hubs did fabulous.  No one died (that didn’t deserve it :3) and he was calm and collected.  I am a bit jealous that he didn’t have “chair pants” on his first time EVER healing.  When I say first time ever, I mean he has never seriously healed as his main objective in this game since picking it up in 2007!  Sure, he’s lazily tossed a couple Penances at my characters while leveling his priest.  Ask any healer though; that’s not the same as /healing/.  I am so proud of my husband!  And thankful that he’s indulged my wanting him to heal.  I knew he’d be good at it!

So for the last couple of weeks, Marsaili and Nightrode have been offered to join Waypoint in a regression raid and a farm raid.  The generosity of our group really makes me feel the warm fuzzies.  They have all been very patient and understanding as 1) Nightrode learns to raid and 2) I learn to heal on my shaman.

Last night was a new experience, however.  My shaman was healing her first T11 raid and I was excited!  I have been researching and reading about resto shaman to get an idea of what to expect — what I didn’t fully realize was how well a resto shaman/disc priest/resto druid would compliment each other.  Healing Rain + Wild Growth + Divine Aegis = UNSTOPPABLE HEALS.  This may be obvious to more experienced raiders, but it was an epiphany last night.  We had been running 2 resto druids and a holy paladin then 2 resto druids and disc priest.  We got the job done easily through lots of damage mitigation and sheer throughput.  But this new setup is much more fun!  I love slapping Healing Rain down and then Chain Healing ALL THE PEOPLE.  >:D

I can’t wait to try the “Waypoint Bubble Trap of Heals” … Gonna be so sweeeet.  (Healing Rain underneath Power Word: Barrier and a Tranquility tossed in for good measure)

Also last night, I won 4 upgrades!  I won the shoulder token and Fall of Mortality off Cho’gall, the Blade of the Witching Hour from Theralion and Valiona, and the Scepter of Ice from Ascendant Council.  I am *still* flabergasted that I received so much loot in one run!  It is truly beyond comprehension for me.  I love Waypoint, y’all. <3

Day 18 – My favorite Outfit

I have at least 3 favorite outfits.  I can’t pick just one!

My all-time favorite is the Priest Vestments of Faith (T3).

It’s just… pretty!  I love the halo! Sadly, my priest was never able to acquire it (she was created in Wrath), but I like to deck her out with it in the WoW Model Viewer and ooooh and ahhhh. :3

My second favorite set is the Druid Cenarion Raiment (T1).

Lizzia modeling T1! She's still missing the shoulders, tho.

It’s classic Druid attire! Complete with HORNS. /ROAR!

And lastly, my newly favorite set is the Black Mageweave Set. On a female Dorf.

SEXYLAYG

Check out that caboose! She’s hot. Admit it. ;D (Belt not included!)

[Update] Circle of Healing Questionnaire!

Laerith over at Totemic Grace has tagged me to fill out the Circle of Healing Questionnaire (developed by Miss Medicina)!  It’s quite an honor to be tagged — I still feel like an “outsider” to the world of WoW Bloggers and especially the Healer niche.

[Update] Check out all the other responses to this questionnaire here. And be sure to read OrvilliusTank Questionnaire!

It has taken me a really long time (i.e., the ENTIRE TIME I’VE BEEN PLAYING) to realize that I am a healer, deep down.  Doesn’t matter which role I’m playing..DPS, Tank, or Healer.. I am *constantly* checking health bars and have been known to throw out an instant Flash Heal while pally tanking.  I just can’t. Stop. Healing.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to get a wide perspective of healing — 25-man, 10-man, 5-man, and PVP situations.  It’s also neat to see how others feel about their classes and healing in general.

Shall we? Continue reading
