Hi and Welcome!

My name is Liz and I have no idea what I’m doing with this blog.

I like to do nerdy things like read, organize, cook, and I find Excel amusing.  I recently canceled my World of Warcraft subscription after 4 years and started playing Rift.  It’s a lot of fun and I am enjoying discovering all the familiar and new things it has in store.  Plus my little healer can bubble AND HoT.  Take that!

I am also the caretaker of a senior citizen diabetic cat named Marvin.  Let me tell you… Giving insulin shots to a crotchety cat really makes you re-prioritize your life. Seriously though, he’s really good about it.  Most of the time.

I work full time for the department of transportation in my state and it’s always an amusing day.

Given all of that stuff above, this blog is mainly my personal rant-space where I discuss my noobish gamer ways or where I fuss about Marvin’s ability to roll his body right when I get a good spot for his shot.  Writing is a good stress reliever, so I am trying to take advantage of that.  And a free WordPress.com account.

Note:  I recently cancelled my World of Warcraft subscription after 4 years of playing.  That’s why you will find WoW-related posts.  I may or may not go back to playing it — I’m just not feeling it right now with the direction it seems to be going (“gearing to go nowhere”).

  1. Hey there, Liz!

You were nice enough to stop by my blog and leave a comment and I figured I would return the favor. I laughed until my stomach hurt from reading your bio. Between the not knowing what you’re doing with the blog and the elderly, diabetic cat – it was too much for me. I love the wit and snark so far!

I see that you have Twitter. I’ll definitely start following you and we can keep in touch that way, if that’s OK. I look forward to reading more from you on this page.

    • Hai! And thanks! I hope I don’t disappoint you with my tweets… I’m still a noob (compared to tried and true theorycrafters and experienced raiders) and it shows… a lot.

I’m going to go now and stalk — er — find you on Twitter as well! :3
